American pop-rock phenomenon Against The Current makes Malaysia one of their world tour stops in support of their debut studio album In Our Bones, anchored by frontwoman Chrissy Costanza’s gorgeous falsetto, and with a catchiness attributed to indie-synth sensibilities.
This Merdeka, Kelip-Kelip is bringing back two of Malaysia’s most powerful films –Tunku Mona Riza’s 2016 award-winning drama Redha and prolific auteur Yasmin Ahmad’s star-crossed love story Sepet– in an effort to get Malaysians together over movies to talk about things that matter to all of us.
The Merdeka Film Screening is a crowdfunding effort. If you’d like to support Malaysian works to help sustainability of the local creative industry and their counterparts, you can click here to contribute.

The BAGEL EP is a 5-song project featuring the 19-year-old at his most honest and vulnerable with production duties fully helmed by lowkey Singaporean beatsmith, GROSSE (Sam Rui, Ffion).
This July 14, Airliftz will be taking it to The Bee Publika—the place where he had his first ever performance—to treat fans, friends and family to a live debut of the EP plus an exclusive screening of a short film with the same name. We’re thrilled to be hosting UK singer-songwriter Lucy Rose once again for her Worldwide Cinema Tour 2017!
You’re in for an extra special treat, as this show includes a fascinating documentary screening of her debut tour of Latin America last year, plus a full live performance by Lucy and her band. This tour is to promote her latest record, ‘Something’s Changing’, set to be released on July 14 via Communion Records.
The new documentary acts as an intimate account of Lucy’s 2016 Latin America tour, where she asked her Latin American fans to plan and book her shows. The tour became a huge inspiration for the record and the film chronicles how it all came together.
Backed up by an exciting new band and supported by a new partnership with Communion Records, Lucy Rose is as revitalised as it gets. This is a show not to be missed by fans and music-lovers alike!
Jennifer Lee, also known as TOKiMONSTA, has made quite a name for herself in the Los Angeles beat scene. A piano player by training, Lee grew up at a very special time for music. She has an incredible knack for taking electronic music to another level on her turntables. Her music is based on elegant chill-house, where you’ll find R&B influences, hip-hop, and electronic sounds thrown into the enchanting mix.
Already onto her fifth album in 2017, she has also collaborated with other prominent artists, such as Anderson Paak, Yuna, Flying Lotus, Thirsty Fish, and Skrillex. Not only was she the first woman ever to be signed with Flying Lotus’s Brainfeeder Label, Lee was also rated Los Angeles’ Hottest DJ in 2010. “My music is a non-verbal representation of who I am.” Like her music, Lee is full of love with a hint of mystery in her heart.
From making beats in her dormroom to touring the world, TOKiMONSTA will finally be in Malaysia, performing live at The Bee, Publika! South Bay born and bred, Lee’s passion for music and art exudes in her live shows, making her live performances enthralling and exhilarating. Save the date – TOKiMONSTA will be playing an Upfront show on the 10th of August for her Lune Rouge World Tour in support of her upcoming album! This truly is a world-class act you wouldn’t want to miss.

Oh Wonder is the London, England-based songwriting duo of Anthony West and Josephine Vander Gucht, who craft and sing — in unison — wispy, mostly slow-grooving, R&B-flecked tunes.
Beginning in September 2014, they set out to write, record, and release one song a month for a year, culminating in their D.I.Y. debut album of keyboard and drum-machine songs. Titled Oh Wonder, it was issued in early September 2015. In the meantime, the band became an online viral sensation, garnering millions of streams; received high-profile radio play at home; and was signed to Republic Records.
They also had live dates scheduled in places like London, Paris, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, and New York City sell out before the album’s arrival and before ever performing publicly. The debut went on to chart in the U.K., Ireland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the U.S. (where it landed in the top half of the Billboard 200), and Canada (where it reached the Top 20).
The follow-up, their first to be conceived as an album, was heavily influenced by the relative isolation of traveling the world on tour. With instrumentation including analog synths and actual bass, drums, and strings, the self-produced Ultralife is arriving on July 14th.
